How to share my guidebook

Sharing your digital guidebook with guests is quick and simple with SmoothStay. The easiest, most direct way is to use a general share link. Here's how it works:

🌍 General share link

Each guidebook has a unique and permanent, general share link that guests can access anytime without date restrictions. This is great for:

• Sending in booking confirmations

• Including in welcome messages

• Printing on QR codes or signage

Anatomy of the general share link

Whereas:

Base link	https://app.smoothstay.io/guide/
Custom URL or slug	casa-koba
Security token	?guest=Xxxxx

The general share link never expires and remains the same unless you manually generate a new token for security reasons.

 

Where to find your general share link

You can access your guidebook’s sharing options from two places:

1. From the Units Section of your dashboard - Look for the corresponding Units, then click the Share icon next to your unit.
2. From inside the Unit → Visibility & Sharing tab -> then hit the Share icon beside the general link.

Clicking either share icon will open the full sharing popup.

📱 Generate a QR Code

You can also generate a QR code that links directly to your guidebook — perfect for physical spaces!

How:

1. Click the Generate button in the sharing popup

2. A QR code is created instantly. Right-click on it to save it to your PC.

3. Add this to:

   • Welcome signs

   • Laminated cards on tables

   • Info boards at the entrance

   • Bathroom mirrors

Security token

Generating a new security token will create a fresh general share link for the unit 'Casa Koba'.

⚠️ Warning: The previous general share link, along with all deep links for this unit, will stop working immediately.
